HISTORY
Founded in 1919 by Harry F. Belsinger, Sr., the Belsinger Group has been a true pioneer in the sign industry. From the humble beginnings of Harry working as a solitary sign painter carrying his supplies in a satchel and riding the Baltimore streetcars to and from each job, Belsinger Sign Works grew into the first sign company in the Baltimore area to install a double-faced internally-lit Plexiglas sign; the first to own a sign crane truck; and the first to purchase a computerized pattern-cutting machine.
Although the primary market has been the Middle Atlantic Seaboard, our marketing expertise, refined technology and expanded product lines have enabled us to service the entire United States.
Family owned and operated since its incorporation in 1931, Belsinger Sign Works was recently re-dubbed the Belsinger Group when the third generation of the Belsinger family forged a strategic partnership with leaders from several related industries to form an all-inclusive, full-service signage, metal fabrication and digital graphics company.
Maintaining its headquarters at 1300 Bayard Street in Baltimore, where it has been located since 1957, the Belsinger Group continues to design, fabricate and install some of the most recognizable signs and structures in the area. Past work includes high-profile projects at BWI Airport, Power Plant Live, Port Discovery, Tide Point, the Hippodrome Theatre and Lexington Market, as well as countless other retail, corporate, educational and medical facilities. We’re also proud to be the only company to provide signage for both Memorial Stadium and Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
Featuring a 30,000-square-foot production plant with state-of-the-art fabrication equipment and an experienced staff, as well as a fleet of installation vehicles, the Belsinger Group can handle – and has handled – projects of any size or scope.
