Typical of thirty three building identity
signs,
the 5" square by 48" high fluted columns,
straddle the aluminum panels capped with
dental moulding. The logo and
lettering are
reflective vinyl.
This exterior wayfinding sign program also
included
twenty-four sets of building letters, eleven large
post and panel directional signage. twenty-four
regulatory and fifteen pedestrian directional signs.
The 1/2" thick logo and letters are mounted
to the brick wall as shown below,. This is typical
of six sets of entry wall signage.

Reginald F. Lewis Museum of
Maryland African American History & Culture
Baltimore, MD
Belsinger Sign Works, Inc. fabricated and
installed the exterior and the interior signage
packages for this historic museum.
The stretched mesh fabric is 41'-0" high x
27'-8" wide and is attached to an angled
steel structure. On the side elevation, is a
22'-6" high x 33'-0" wide mural composed of
twenty 1/8" thick 53-1/4" high x 95-3/4" long
aluminum panels with a digital print applied
to each.
10'-0"high x 10'-0" x 3/16" thick stainless
steel panel with the lettering etched and infilled
with black. This method of fabrication is used for
a variety of signs at the museum.
Another exterior sign feature that is carried into
the interior signage is enclosed 2" deep
dimensional stainless steel letters attached to
3" deep stainless steel bars. Using this combination
of elements, specific areas are identified and
the directional signage provides dramatic
wayfinding within the museum.
A.D.A. plaques throughout the museum were
also fabricated and installed by Belsinger Sign
Works, Inc.
